Thrift haul!!! (Well, mainly)

I have a profound weakness for floral printed shoes, and I found these cute flats! They were only 99 DKK/17,81 USD so I had to have them...

I am so excited about this adorable, minty nightgown! Only, when I got it home I discovered it had a... certain smell... Like old-lady-piss. :( Washing it did not help at all, I had to soak it in vinegar for hours to eliminate the smell. If I had noticed the smell at the store I don't think I would have bought it, but the stores in Denmark are small and often very smelly. So thrifting in DK is definitely a very dirty job!

When I saw this a had to get it even though it's bought in a regular (menswear, though) shop. At least it was 50% off! XD Not too many years ago I aspired to become a tattoo artist, and pinups definitely has a special place in my heart. And I adore all things navy styled. I think most fashionistas know that it was Coco Chanel who started wearing stribes like that, but I don't know how many who know where she got it from. She saw fischermen who wore jumpers and knits with the, now classic, stribes. I even heard a story where she, with a friend, "stole" a few sweaters from a fischer. I don't how accurate it is but I think it's a bit funny. Anyways, I love this T-shirt!

This (new)item was freakin' 70% off, and also it's burgundy and lace!!! Two things I absolutely love, now combined!

And the back of it has these nice buttons and a cute little cut-out.

And back to thrifted stuff! I just thought this snow white (irl it's very. very white!), quirky button down was really nice, and with the collar I think it screams "the 70's". Styled right I think it'll look awsome in a polished boho look. Yeah, I know I always write about bohemian styled items but I can't get enough of it...

I also found this very nice oversized blazer. It's in a very soft and thin material so it's more like a blazer cardigan, which I love, and it's so, so comfortable! ^___^ I'm not really a fan of the super fitted look when it comes to blazers. I don't know if it's just because it's overdone... But I think it looks so much more chic when it's oversized.

I can't have enough cardigans! And I like how unusual this one is. I think it looks much better irl by the way.  I really like the alsmost pastel orange, green and turquoise on the cream base.

I got this amazing black velvet clutch for 5 DDK/0.90 USD! A freakin' steal!!! I really tried to get a decent pic but I had to settle with this... It doesn't do it any justice, it looks so new and pretty irl.

I have been wanting to buy/make something like this for a while now so I'm so happy I found this amazing belt. ^___^

I couldn't not buy this apron! It's so adorable and super feminine, I really love how it's too much. XD

It's called; "Douleur" ("Pain") The last few months has been sort of hard. I've been in a lot of physical pain because of health stuff... So yeah, when I'm in pain I get gory! I've always liked dark stuff and horror art, and for now it's the only thing I feel like doing. ^___^ I also incorporated my fear of doctors and hospitals... The painting is mainly about how chronic pain can be all consuming. During my worst days I'm more like a zombie, and when I'm "conscious" I become this yelling bitch cursing at everyone and everything.

Yeah...

The lighting is kinda horrible and the picture was sort of taken spontaneously... I was wearing some ugly ass pj's... XD Oh well! After the picture was taken I went out and trimmed again (about 1-2cm). I'm still not sure if I wanna grow on or keep maintaining at this length. I kinda feel like I have to just choose. I think my ends look much better now and I'm slowly getting tired of this length, it's not excactly a flattering length on me, I think. I'll probably grow on towards classic length now! And for the first time in about five years I'll go out an buy a new leave-in conditioner. When I started dyeing my hair about 5-6 years ago I bought a ton of leave-in's to treat my hair, and just recently, I've used up all the old stuff. It's a bit stupid but I'm quite excited to get a new leave-in!!! ^ , ^

BTW, I'm having computer problems, so that's why i haven't been super active. XD

So this is another order I received. It's called "Hyrdinden og Skorstensfejeren." (In english: The Shepherdess and the Chimney sweeper.") It was a very fun order to do!

What is long hair? (And brain-ramble.)

Since I read a thread on unTamedTresses, I have been thinking a lot about when hair is considered long. I know that most members in the long hair circuits slowly change their goals as their hair grows longer and they get used to it, but my view of long hair has always stayed the same (since I was about 3 or 4). I'm like, when I'm contemplating something I use a lot of energy sorting out my mind, and this process usually doesn't take a lot of time, then it's in a "box" in my brain, all sorted out. When the "stuff" are in their "boxes" I don't think about it unless I gain something new to that topic. In that way, I find it, my head is sort of clean and organized... I have no idea if that makes any sense. It's probably very general. But I'm always analyzing myself and everything around me, and I LOVE analyzing, I can't help it! @_______@

... Well, on to the hair ramble! I know what a lot of people and cultures think about long hair, but I wanted to share what I think is long hair (not that ANYONE cares. XD) Of course, we are all differently proportioned so the same hair length can look very different on dirrerent people.

Short hair:
Obviously shaved head, it doesn't get much shorter unless you want it Henry the 8th-style.
All versions of pixie cuts.
Chin length.
Shoulder length.
Arm pit length.
Bra strap length. I know it's not short-short but it's not long in my opinion. It's sort of the stage between short-ish and long-ish. It's a super pretty and flattering length, yet, sort of random.

Long hair:
Waist length.
Hip length.
Tailbone length. (FYI that's mid butt length.)
Classic length. (If you didn't know, that's where the butt cheeck meets the thigh.)

Very long hair:
Mid thigh length.
Knee length.

Super long hair:
Calf length.
Ankle length.
Floor length.
Beyond floor length.

I love hair, all kinds of hair types, and the more the marrier! So I don't judge people who doesn't share my views on what's long and what isn't. I know that many people think that BSL is quite long...
