Todays thrift-treasures!!!

I was out buying my brothers birthday gift, and I couldn't help myself...... I had to check out the local (super tiny) thrift store. But of course I found some stuff I just needed in my life! XD

This first piece is IMO to die for! It looks so amazing on. I love the crazy-colour-flower-butterfly-party against the monochrome zebra print. And normally I dislike sequin but it looks very pretty on this shirt. You can't really see it in the pics, but the flower and butterfly print is decorated with the most delicate sequin! I LIKE IT! :D

I just really liked this mellow button down. The print is kind of like an animal print, but not really. And I like the sandy colour with pink undertones. I think it'll be a nice contrast to my new hair. :)

I just had to have this! It doesn't fit me (yet), but I'm plannin' on loosin' some weight soon. And it's in perfect condition! It's such a nice quality. :)

Love love love the beading details!

I think mint compliments black hair so well, so when I saw this I fell in love and died. XD I love the shape of the mesh-part, very feminine and pretty. Can't wait to wear it!

I love the unusually big print on this dress, and the colours are so beautiful. And roses are my favorite flower! The only sad thing about this dress is that it's a bit short for my long legs. :( But I'll make it work anyway.

I have a thing for negligé, especially the retro kind! Sometimes I'm lucky and find a cute piece like this.

I got this nice over sized, red cardigan. :)

This white cardigan is so soft! I like the crochet/knit look.

Okay, pictures doesn't do this red tee any justice! It's made of a very shiny, luxurious material. It falls heavy and feels cool and amazing against the skin. I love how it reflects the light. I can't properly explain it. :)

This piece is super flowy and sheer. And the little black bow is super cute! It's in good shape too. :D

I like the colour of this pink shirt, with the red splashes and writing. I love the combination of the two. When I was a kid someone told me that you couldn't mix red and pink... I've always loved it!

I had to get this dude. At first I thought he was a she, because of the chest area, but he is actually a he. But I kinda like that he looks like an androgynous female. :P

I also found a new lamp... I have a feeling that my taste in lamps is pretty tacky, but who cares! :) I actually really like it. I haven't seen anything like this before, and it was kinda cheap, so...

So purdy and shiny!!!

I hope you enjoyed! ^_____^

LENGTH SHOT! (September 2013.)

The first picture was taken with my cheap digital camera, and I'm not really a fan of how it portrays my ends!!! :S They do NOT look that thin IRL! I promise you! :(

The second picture was taken with my iPhone, which I've always used for this. I think my hair looks so short lately. Because of the "big" trim not too long ago, I'm still hovering at this 'close to classic, but still not really there' which I've been for, what seems like, ages! But at least I've got a new exciting hair colour to keep me entertained! :D I know my hemline looks lopsided but it's not. I just didn't brush it properly, it went pretty fast because I wasn't feeling well. I'm a bit disappointed in how my new black hair looks like in pics. IRL it looks so vibrant and deep... In these pics it just looks dull and kinda bad. At least it looks flippin awesome through the filter of my eyeballs! XD

^_______^

BIG HAIR REVEAL!!!

Okay, so I've done something new to my hair! And it's a big change! I love it so much! Are you ready? Do you know what my hair used to look like? It was a reddish light brown, and later you can just scroll further down for an old picture...

... Are you ready to see what I did???

(Scroll down)

I MADE IT BLACK!!!
(In the first two pictures I had straightened my hair, I know, naughty naughty. But I do it sooo rarely.)

I dyed my hair black with hendigo (henna & indigo) which is supposed to give a blue black colour. I wanted to enhance the blue so I also used Blue Mayhem by Special effects, which is a semi permanent, very blue, hair dye. I am very happy with the result! (But it kinda was a pain to achieve.) I'm gonna do an entry about what I did. ^__^

This last picture is my natural hair texture (after a loooong day, so excuse the messiness!)
The first time I ever dyed my hair I chose blue black. As back then, I really think it suits me. And I'm not the only one, I've already gotten several compliments on how well it suits me. But I guess it's not really that weird because I look like my dad and he used to have very dark, almost black, hair. I've never had a great relationship with my dad (he's an alcoholic and a really bad person in general), so I've always tried to look as little like my dad as possible, but I feel ready to embrace the "darker" genes, I guess. I know I look really white, but actually I tan so easy, so It's hard work to stay as fair as I am right now. But I am also feeling ready to stop obsessing about being pale. Because it's quite annoying always thinking about covering up in all ways. It's a stupid thing I know. :)

But I'm so excited 'bout ma new huuur!!! I think it makes my eyes POP and look bigger! What do you think??? U like?

A bit of Sewing! :)

Back in summer (It's officially fall here, yay!) I made this girly thing. :D Later, my mom told me that it used to be a curtain in her dads home office (he passed almost 20 years ago). And it's all the way back from when my mom was a kid. So it's probably about forty years old... So cool.

I've Had this idea for a long time... I have a profound love for everything dark, so of course I love, love , love the Addams Family. I named my dog Wednesday and I identify myself with Morticia. I wanted a Morticia inspired dress, so I made one. Only, this one has a lot of fabric in the skirt instead of the body hugging original. You can't see it in the pics but the skirt is actually pretty voluminous. It looks pretty boxy but it's looks totally great on, fitted in the waist and around the shoulders, with a flattering boat neck. For a younger look I made the sleeves a bit poufy. I am considering sewing them in and make them more fitted, though, for a more original Morticia look.  It's so comfy and "formal" at the same time.

I made it in the honor and memory of Winny, a very missed and loved woman. My friend, life mentor and one of the most beautiful people I've ever met. I made it for, and wore it at her funeral ceremony. She would have liked that. She loved glamour just as much as me, so I wanted to be glamorous for her. I did my hair, nails and make up, with only the loss of her in my thoughts...

Random ramble 'bout random stuff...

Okay, this week I discovered Taylor Momsen! Or I did know about her but I'd never gotten around to listen to her music... And OMG I LOVE her big time. She's so cool, beautiful, talented, Rock 'n' Roll yet unique. And I love her band Pretty Reckless. Their music is familiar and still very much have their own sound. Definitely worth a listen! I give them six skulls! Her voice is so amazing! Raw and moving. And I simply adore her style... I'm already a big fan, and I could go on and on but I'll end it here. ^__^

I've gotten my oxycontin back, which I'm pretty stoked about! I think that's the reason why I had the big "attack". Because I got something for my severe chronic pain, I suddenly could do more, and then did much more... I just have to get used to that again. Not using the painkillers like doping. But I guess I can't completely avoid that, since I can't really do anything when I'm not on something. But that's just how it is, I'm not complaining. :)
When I could see, I spend my time reading Stieg Larsson's Millennium. I just started reading the second book in the trilogy. In lack of a smart comment: Salander is so cool! I generally love all the characters, and it's so damn well written. Also six skulls! :P

I have over a thousand page views, which is not impressive, I know, but still! That's pretty cool I think.

I'm also getting busy with the paint. Right now I'm doing a big-ish painting with a sexeh, 40's inspired, crazy, cigaret smokin', baby-pink-haired bombshell, wearin' a bordeaux hat with a pair of stocking- and suspenders-wearing legs sticking out. Yeah, it's surreal, out there and awesome. :D

I'm gonna do something super radical to my hair! I won't say anything (yet) other than I am going to change a huge thing about the general appearance... I will, of course, blog about it. I just wanted to give you a little teaser!!! I, myself, almost can't wait! It will be grand... ^ . ^

My Shady Collection!

I thought I would do this before it's too late. Well I always wear sun glasses, all year round. Because I'm a creature of the night, and the sun is my worst enemy. It's always out to get me...

I Just love these bright blue pair, and IRL the outer edges of the lens fades into is purple. Oh and the gold! (From Ebay)

I still love blues, purples, and I just adore these. This pair is more decorative than anything. They look awesome with this blue pink lipstick I have. (From Ebay) It doesn't get more hippie than this. I also love the rose gold...

These are so sick IMO! People stare so hard when I wear these! Well more than usual. XD
(Also from Ebay)

I love my mad scientist glasses! I haven't worn them out yet because I just bought many pairs at once. But I'm looking forward to it! They are so rad. ^ ^ (From Ebay)

When I wanna look more classy and refined, yet sassy, I wear these retro cat eye,  with fake turtle shell details. They always look stunning and chic. I love these with my red lipstick! (Again, from Ebay)

One of my faves! The mirror effect is so cool, and the black edge and the feminine details on the sides.... I can't get tired on them. (Ebay)

If you haven't noticed, I like, I guess, somewhat extreme eye wear... Love the crazy with the gold and brown lens. (Ebay)

These are several years old, from when I first started getting into sun glasses. As a young teenager I was sure I was too ugly to wear them... Yeah, I had a tough "youth" and no childhood. Anyways, now I don't give a crap what people thinks of me. You can't please everybody, so please yourself and have fun, I say. :) They are, of course, a Ray Ban knockoff, but I just love the style and don't wanna spend the money on this kind of thing. These are also pretty retro and timeless, but safe. :) They look good on all faces. (From some random local general store, ages ago) I love the plum color of the glass. These also look amazing with red lipstick.

Some nice sturdy black ones. (Ebay)

Another pair of small round sunnies, but in all black. (Ebay)

Big, black 'n' round! That sounds like a woman. :P When I saw a similar style on Jen (Clothesencounters) from youtube I fell in love with round ones. I've worn these a lot! (Ebay, a few years ago, I think)

Another old pair. I haven't worn these a ton, but I still like them. (From the same general store mentioned above)

I recently bought these in red, pink and black.  I wanted some of this style, even though it's been so overdone this summer. (Ebay)

So that's it for now, if you're still reading, thank you so much! ^___________^

A bit of decor!!!

Firstly, sorry about the absence. I've been bedridden for over 14 days, sooo, that was fun... Well the great thing about it is the feeling of coming back to life. It feels amazing when you get your senses back. Food tastes, colors explode and my brain works so fast! I love life (when I'm well)!!!
Okay on to the stuff! For the last couple of months I've been getting some cool stuff for my apartment. :) Which I really shouldn't be doing 'cause I have such a tight budget because of my current situation. I'm too sick to take an education or keep a job, even a super flexible one, and they don't wanna give me a pension because of my age (20). So I have to make it work on a very low income.

Anyways! I found some fun stuff at my local (tiny) thrift store.

This is my new man, quite handsome I think. :) It's a genuine 1800's bust made my a very well known danish sculpture maker. Portraying a danish writer or poet I think. He's ears are a bit chipped, besides that, he is in pretty damn good shape! He fits perfectly in my cave.

Just one more of him! :P

This next thing is so funny and beautiful. According to the seller it's supposedly genuine and worth something. I dunno. I just fell completely in love! The positions, the expressions. I can't even. :D And it wasn't that expensive. so, yeah! :)

I very recently found this old mirror. I think the unusual color is so amazing. I'm pretty sure the frame was originally for a picture/painting. The back looks like it's been changed a long time ago. I'm not sure exactly how old it is, but I can see it's old. Wether that's 50 or 100 I have no clue. :) I just love it!

At first when I saw these I laughed at how tacky they are. But when I looked closer I actually really liked them because of that. They are very pretty, pink and pearly... Not at all my taste. But they go so well with my Wall of Death, or Creep Wall! The wall by my antique table is decorated with framed, antique post mortem photographs. (I will show you when the wall is done, and tell why.) I think they are a nice contrast to the photos. :)

My decor style is antique grandma with a heavy dose of death. That's what I find comfortable living in. :) I hope you enjoyed! ^____^
