And a little close up to show the texture. I don't really know any of the english knitting terms so I will leave it at the pictures. XD

My first cardigan is done.^-^
Again, my phone really doesn't like red colours. But irl it's a very cool toned extremely bright red colour. It's so incredibly beautiful! It's a slightly cropped cardigan that hits just above the hips. It's not really flattering on me when cardigans stops at my hips. They need to either be shorter or longer. :) I have been working on this for about 8 months. I didn't use any patterns or get any help. And for the texture I was just trying out something new to achieve a more chunky look.
New Paintings!
So I have been busy with orders and haven't really had the time to do any real fun stuff. But I just wanted to share the latest work. :)
My phone really hates red! T_______T' You can't really see any detail or nuances of colour, trust me it looks so much better irl. But I guess you get the idea... The titel is "Sanguis vita est" which means blood is life. I am so fascinated with blood, I think it's beautiful and lifegiving. That's why I've written the word blood in the roses, one letter for each big rose. It's very subtle and you can't see it in the pictures. If I have to paint something as sober as plain old roses I can't help but put a little twist on it. :P
The first one is quite huge. It measures 1x1m/39,4x39,4" which is quite large compared to what I prefer. But I'm satisfied with the result. And the buyer was very very happy with it, so thats great. It's called "Karlsvognen" (The big Dipper(?)) and it has a very special meaning to her and her husband.
A few close ups for the details:
And the next order is a series consisting of three canvases:
Lengthshot of september 2012!
My internet has been acting up for more than a week now, but today it's working again, I guess.
I am tilting my head a little forward here. It's so painful for me to stand like this. :(
After this picture was taken I trimmed off about 1 cm. So in this pic you can se the result of my last trim two months ago. I know it looks a little uneven but it's actually my back that's uneven. Also I've been noticing a change in my hair. I have a lot of curls growing in... It feels a bit weird having very straight hair, and then suddenly I have spiral curls at the nape of my neck and waves and crazy stuff like that. If you look at the non processed hair you can see a bit of a wave thing going on, but I don't know if it's an actual wave or if it's just because I went to bed with damp hair... Normally that doesn't happen but I don't wanna get too excited if it's just a coincidence. I will have to wait and find out I guess. ^___^ Oh and when I started growing out my hair I new that it would look a lot more red the lighter it would get. I think you can start to see what I'm talking about in this picture. The top part looks brown and then a bit above my shoulders it turns into a more bright red. I still don't know what to call my hair colour.... I will probably make an entire entry about my hair colour! Ha ha. XD
The trim for this month
This is the length shot from july 2012 before the trim. I know it looks like I'm tilting my head back but I have a cowlick, so yeah. And I'm standing closer to the camera... It looks straighter here but if you really look closely you might notice some kind of small shadows on the right side of my hair.
Anyways, in july 2012 I chose to maintain at tailbone for about six months. I love fairytale ends but I don't feel comfortable with it. I always find myself cursing at my thin ends. And the obvious reason is that I just want to get rid of the dye/damage. ^______^

Burgundy!
I've been feeling ill again but I'm doing a bit better now. I wanna blog about a ton of stuff, but I'm starting with my obsession with burgundy! I have never really liked the colour before but in spring/early summer, something happened and now I can't stop! I feel like it's more appropriate for this season, even though I don't really care for fashion rules like that. And the main reason is that it took me some time to collect some burgundy items.
The first thing is an Essie nail polish in 'Bahama Mama' which I got as a present from my best friend. I love the colour and I'm actually wearing it right now. But I have to say I don't really get the hype about Essie... I mean the colours are gorgeous and the names are cute, but I find them difficult to apply. It looks patchy and it seems like it never dries, and I've been wearing so much nail polish though the last five years.... I don't know if it's just me. :( (The frind I got it from has a few Essies and it looks the same on her nails...) (And a little update: It didn't even last one day, with my best topcoat and I was so carefull... Man!)
The next thing is a flower crown I did myself. I really like Lana Del Rey and especially her use of flowers. So I had to make one!
I don't know why it looks so red, but oh well, the sun was really shining when I took this pic. Since I discovered clothesencounters (a loooong time ago) on youtube I've been obsessed with beanies, but as always I'm too cheap (and broke, haha) to buy it! So I knit them instead. That way I can also choose the material and colour. ^___^ I thought it was a fun little detail with the black top.
I bought this super oversize heavy knit in the summer on a shopping spree. It's longer in the back and has a bit of a batwing effect. It was quite cheap so I bought it in cream too! :p
Then of course the lip! In early summer I picked up a burgundy lip pencil which I just use as a lipstick. In this picture I just tried something new, an ombre lip. I like wearing this lip with my flower crown. It looks so good together.
This is a turtleneck I've had for so long... I don't really recall where I got it from. And I've never actually worn it so I don't know why I still have it, because I'm super organised. But I'm so glad I didn't toss it. I'm gonna wear this so much! :)
And the last thing for now is this eye make up. I have this really old blush (the bright warm orangy colour on the middle of my lid) which is way way too much for me as a blush. It's impossible to apply a little, it's insane. But I absolutely love it as an eye shadow. And it really brings out the green in my eyes. Which I love! ^-^

Thrift haul!
I was thrifting curtains and ended up with a bit more! XD
First I found this amazing button down. It has a matching pleated skirt, which I had to buy too if I wanted the top. I guess I can use the skirt somehow. :)

Then I found this. I love the color and the fabric looks like real silk. And I think the double collar is a fun different detail.
I'm really glad I found this red button down with a bow. I love red but I don't really have a lot of red things. Can't wait to wear it!
And for my favorite piece!...........
I freakin' love this! It's so pretty. I love the colour, the detail, the buttons.... Everything!
And a few more pics, just to show all the details. :D
On saturday I'm going to a family function, and I'm totally gonna wear this with a black maxi skirt, a soft romantic hairstyle and some edgy accessories!

"New" paintings!
Well some of them are not that recent, but I just wanted to share anyways. :D
The next one is called "Overshadowed".
The first one is called "Spaced Out".
The second one is called "Universal Beauty" and the titel is not literal. It's about a slightly mad empress of space. Her skinny frame is ment to portray her fragile mind, as well as her actual figure. I wanted her to look scary but vulnerable. She's wearing space as her dress, but with a childlike care.
The last one is called "Female Assassin" The reflection of light in her eye is a tiny skull.
That is it for now, I hope you like it! ^______^

Floral dress & casual maxi skirts.
So, I have been sewing some more!
I was out buying fabric and I found this beautiful print! It's jersey and feels amazing. It's a bit difficult to see, but it's really fitted with ruching in the middle of the chest, and on the sides. It has an exposed zipper in the back and the straps are black wide bands. I feel stupid that I forgot to take a photo of the straps but oh well. As you can see it's really long, but I think it looks great. I love floral prints but they can very easily become too girly for my taste, so I really like the black. I would style this dress with a casual cropped knit, black lipstick and some nice chunky heels a la Jeffrey Campbell.
My most worn stable is the maxi skirt. It's sort of my signature. I sew them myself because I can never find ones I like and if I do find a skirt I like it's very very pricy! The plain black one on the left is the one I wear the most. I've made several just like that. The one in the middle is just because I fell in love with the fabrick! The colour is so pretty and the little bows an tiny dots are freaking adorable! The one on the right is a fail that I "fixed". I messed up the waist so I did a braid with the leftovers and made it into a cool piece. I quite like it! ^_______^
